I need some pannier liners for my new (to me) TC GSA with OEM alloy panniers.

I did buy a pair from of cheap bags from eBay but to be honest they're crap (get what you pay for  ) but I want something better for when I go to Europe with the missus this summer.

Having got other Kreiga bags, and although they're not cheap, I like the quality so I'd like something from them if possible. Has anyone used Kreiga KS40's in their GSA boxes and if so, do they fit ok (not to much of a squeeze)?

I use Kriega (not sure if they are the 40s ) but they are excellent and the ones i have fit very well

Edit

Just looked and they are 40s

they fit really well in the panniers. you can expand one to fit the larger of them too :)

I've got Mane-Event bags in my panniers. One feature is that they are top-loading just like the panniers so it's easy to get at stuff. However, I bought 1 KS40 and use it in the larger O/S pannier. It's very well made but also doubles up as an ideal weekend/flight/occasional bag, so I get more out of it than just a pannier bag. I do find it rather a tight fit in the pannier though.

The KS 40's do fit in GSA panniers and my current Givi Outbacks too :)

I've got Mane Event bags. They are light enough to pack away for next time. And water resistant enough to cope with a leaky pannier case lid seal.

Matt, there seems to be some debate about whether they actually fit or not: http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php/386122-Kriega-KS40-Inner-Pannier-Bags

Following that thread I decided not to buy the KS40 bags and I'm currently using Vario inner bags in my GSA panniers.

Stu.

I have KS40s, OEM for Ali panniers, and OEM for Varios. KS40 and OEM for Ali both fit my Ali panniers perfectly, the Vario ones less so. I prefer the KS40 for use, but they are fatpr from waterproof, so be carefull the pannier is closed properly in the rain!

Have a look at Stahlkoffer's bags Matt. I've got then for my Verns and they are well made and fit well enough. I'm sure they will have a pair which would fit in the GS boxes.

They fit perfectly, both expansion zips open (40 l) on the right, both closed (30 l) on the left !

Thanks for the input everyone.
Just back from 5 days in Scotland (with my cheapo inner bags) - I'll definitely be getting some better ones!

What were the cheap ones you had Matt?? What was wrong with them did they tear or something??

They're really flimsy and actually slightly too big. I think they've been made to the exact inner size of the pannier so that when packed, if they bulge at all (almost inevitable), you have to fight them into the pannier.

Also (not that it matters as such), when I received them it turned out that they were made and posted from Pakistan (nothing in the eBay ad to indicate that this was the case).

A side issue is that my panniers leak slightly (100 mm or so of water in each after a truly torrential day) so I'll probably have to double bag whichever inner bags I use.

If there's any issue with them leaking it would probably be wiser to buy the o/e BMW GSA bags.

totally, but they take up room with the crappy closure system.

a waterproof zip across the top, then fold the corners of the bag in and clip back. it works, but does take a bit of room. on the other hand, they easily clip on top of the boxes if you need more room.

good bags. i've still got mine - i use the top box one on the KTM and the pannier bags will come in handy for something else in the future. i reckon the kriega bags are better, but not if your panniers leak.
