I just don't get it ...... Surely they have the resources to manufacture a decent integrated heated grip system akin to BMW rather than go down the aftermarket looking Oxford Grips route?

Why don't they offer a factory fit kit that doesn't involve exposed cabling and block switches on view? :nenau

They're spoiling the ship for a ha'porth of tar :mad:
 
mine has exposed wiring, but block switches? it's switched from the instrument panel display using the cursor buttons.
 
Use Symtec grips, very warm, unobtrusive and you can use the grips of your choice, so totally disagree that it's 'spoiling the ship' .... well, maybe your's :D

Ooops I didn't make it clear I'm talking 990 re the block switch

I still don't get why the newer bikes have to have a wiring loom hanging from the grips when the BMW system is so much neater
