Lambda Sensor

Anyone know if its the same Lambda Sensor on the twin spark and single spark 1150s?

I see that. But the BMW fiche shows a slightly different model for pre 02 and post 02 models. Physically the later sensor is 1mm longer. Not sure if that means they are incompatible or its just an upgrade. Anyone know?
Its just that I have the chance of buying a secondhand post 02 one as a spare but my bike is an 01 model.
