I had a similar prob as this. Turned out to be the big black plastic thing that holds the circuit and bulb holder. It had split at a particular point and had broken the circuit. Fixed it with a small wedge of wood and some araldite. It was that or a new light unit. Still works.:thumb2

.....Millions spent at BuMW, with cutting edge design, incredibly accurate moulding machines, circuit boards machine soldered to a few microns.......Small wedge of wood and araldite.....EXCELLENT! :clap :bow The British empire is alive and well!

I'm getting LAMPF every know and again, but it goes off after a while, my bike is one with light permenantly on for the Malaysian market, Front light works fine so i'll leave till next service (the one just before warranty runs out..)

I was told when I bought mine that the computer can sense when a bulb is weak (draws more current?) so it may just just be giving you a warning:thumb

Turned out it was a broken wire!
Sorted now.
Thankyou Mr BMW Technician Man :D

Had the same LAMPR on and off a couple of months ago. Took the rear lamp assembly apart and it was full of water and shite. Bulb seemed dim as well. I`m guessing the system detected the bulb was on it`s way out.

Cleaned the lamp assembly, nice new bulb and no problems. :thumb
