Just thought I would share the very recent occurrence and the fix I did just in case somebody else experiences it. Im sure there are many other causes of the LAMPR including the bulb actually not working but this is what I found.
The LAMPR came on along with the yellow warning triangle when leaving work today. Checked the rear lamp and brake light all working fine. Got home and fitted a bulb but no change. Got the fibreglass pen out and cleaned the terminals and still no better. I assumed it would be corrosion as a quick search seems to show it is a common problem. Stripped the rear bits and bobs off to get to the multipin connector pulled it all apart but no sign of corrosion. So off with the rear light holder and an inspection didn't seem to show any obvious corrosion. Pulled the three spade connectors off and again no obvious signs of corrosion. Cleaned them anyway with the fibreglass pen. Quick squirt of ACF50 on all the terminals and plugs as I don't really want to be delving back in there again. Connected it all back together and it all works groovy.
Just goes to show its worth going through the motions as the Canbus does seem to be very sensitive.
