2007 r1200 gs.

LAMPF warning came up on dash. Changed both bulbs. High beam bulb blown. Still have dash warning and the head lamp is working when I switch on the high beam but is off the rest of the time. Use to he always on. Any ideas? Thanks.

Sounds like your dip beam is shot!
I have to replace mine every few years on my '63 TC.

Sidelamp yes. I have replaced BOTH bulbs with brand new ones. The side lamp used to be always on when I turned on the ignition. Now it only works when I hit the high beam switch.

LAMPF will come up if pilot, dip or main bulbs are blown. I have a feeling indicators as well.

Sidelamp yes. I have replaced BOTH bulbs with brand new ones. The side lamp used to be always on when I turned on the ignition. Now it only works when I hit the high beam switch.

That sounds odd. Pilot is the only one that comes on with ignition. Main lamp when engine running.

Na. That didn't change anything. It's an old bike now. Starting to show her age.

I even went looking for the fusebox and remembered it's got can bus. Not given me any trouble over the years other than the abs dying.

Although it says LampF I seem to remember a bollix of a thing happening with Tail Lamp corrosion as the wires go through the rear mudguard or even the Main Bulb holder

CAN-bus does data comms not chassis electrics. It is the ZFE that manages chassis electrics.

Go back and check all your connections at he bulbs. If you’ve bent one and it’s not connected properly this can happen to the side lightbulbs. It’s all about reversing a 12v feed down an earth wire.

I didn’t realise polarity was an issue. I am an idiot so please explain sccordingly

The bike needs to be garages and given a good going over. I’m hoping to have a space in the next year. Bike is grand though. The lights work - the LAMPF balances out the brake failure on the dash

I once replaced a headlight bulb on a GS and I didn’t get the connector block replaced correctly. This led to the feed to it not returning in the normal method, so it found an alternative way back. Via the sidelight circuit earth wire. So the back feed from the headlight cancelled out the earth from the side lightbulbs. So no sidelight on. Took ages to sort it out

In my R1200RS intermittent lampf codes were the number plate light. Fitted a new one, never seen again

Did you start the engine. The low beam won't come on unless the engine is running.

I have tried all variations bar checking the rear.

When I turn on ignition no lights at all. The smaller of the two bulb fitting would be on in the past. Look, it’s not really a problem yet. It reminds me of me. A bit older and parts starting to fail

Ooh ; I had one if those bikes , such a long time ago , but have vague memories that LampF means sometimes other than what you think .
Edit ; research says it can only be related to the front lighting circuit
Do check for weak battery or low voltage though .

It may be a bulb where the filament hasn't completely broken . I'm sure that's happened to me a couple of times. Take out bulbs, yeh look ok. Intermittent warning for a few days then check again, oh now that is deffo fucked. Replace, no more warning.
