OK, now Nippy Norms do a Wunderlich screen for £179 and Powerbronze have one as well at £98

Anyone seen them, tried them? Any better than the Standard screen which is noisier than my old Twin cam Screen?

I changed to the nippy Normans power bronze screen last year! For me at 6'3'' it was much better than the OE screen.
I have now changed my lid to a flip front and am getting a fair bit more wind noise than when I had a full face lid. So have just purchased the wunderlick screen and support to see if this is better.

Important!!!! I did find the taller power bronze screen does bounce a bit at higher speeds due to it being taller. So much so it shook loose a couple of the circlip retained screen pins. I changed these pins for the same diameter bolts with nylon lock nuts and just nipped them up just enough so the screen can still be adjusted. Result. No more pins vibrating loose and it reduce the 'bounce' in the screen. FYI
Hope this helps.

The new screen will be here at the end of the week so should get it fitted ASAP. Bikes in for its 24000 mile service. So will report back when I've done more miles on it!

Impressive miles for a bike only launched last year !!

Any news if BMW are to make available a tinted screen and wind deflectors ?

Having done 1000+ miles now with the Wundelich Touring Screen (Tinted), its been excellent and i'm very impressed with it.

Its a few inches higher and wider than the OEM screen and it has extra winglets that seem to work well.
It provides excellent wind protection for my whole upper body, including my arms, whereas my arms and shoulder were in the breeze before.
I'm 5' 8" but i can see clearly over the screen on its lowest settings ok, and its optically perfect to look through (and its slightly tinted).

I'll keep this screen on through the winter, but i'll probably use the OEM screen next summer, as it might get a bit too hot behind the Wunderlich.

I changed my stock screen to a CeeBailey, the biggest one they do, just about to fit a clear Wunderlich screen.

Having come from a 2008 and then a 2013 RT with a CeeBailey screen, I realise how spoilt I was with the clean air bubble and no buffeting.

As a taller rider the stock screen was just too low.

I'm not a fan of tinted screens, so the clear one will be a welcome change back to my 2013 model screen

Really nice...like the graphic's too

Yonkyo how do you rate the quality compared to the OEM screen. Does it wobble more than standard ? Personally I'm quite happy with the OEM screen for height but I do get a wind blast to upper arms and shoulders. Do you find those wings improve this blast ? Appreciate your thoughts.

The Wuderlich's build quality is excellent, the perspex is the same thickness and doesn't wobble at all.

Wind protection is much better, as the screen is higher and wider, so my arms and shoulders are out of the wind blast.
Also, SWIMBO says that she is more protected by the new screen, Brownie points for me there.....

Many thanks. Interesting that the screen is better for the pillion too. Those wings are quite substantial. Maybe invest in one for next winter I guess it will probably be to much protection for summer riding.

Yes, i think i'll be going back to the standard screen when the weather warms up, as the Wunderlich is too effective.

Well the Wunderlich screen arrived today. Straight forward to put on same as OEM. Quality looks good with nicely finished edges. When I first saw this screen I was not sure whether I would like those wings but it was worth the gamble because it looks the dogs dangles on the bike. The design follows the angular shape of the clear winglets on the top the nose fairing which doesn't show up very well in pictures. So the big question is has it cured the wind blast on the upper arms and shoulders and the answer is yes. I'm 6ft 1in and have the high seat option on the high setting. With the OEM screen I usually rode with it half up looking over the top. It gave me a clean blast of air on my helmet but there was a large gap between those clear fairing winglets and the screen. This gave me the wind blast on the upper arms and shoulders which has only given me grief with the colder temperatures. The new screen winglets combined with the extra width has blocked this gap and so has cured the problem. Its a tall screen and as such have it about a third up compared to half up on the OEM screen. Fully up I'm looking through it cannot look over the top. Too high in this position for me. So far happy with the purchase. Tomorrow going for a ride with the Mrs so it will be interesting to see if she feels any difference.

I will be interested to hear what Mrs BMPete makes of the new screen in terms of pillion air flow/buffeting in comparison to the OEM screen. If the report is positive, I may also invest in one to keep Domestic Management happy...

Winglets is probably a little misleading, but I call the clear plastic pieces on top of the nose fairing either side winglets, as they are designed to deflect the airflow. These are part of the OEM fairing. Sorry not any add on part. The Wunderlich screen has side extensions which I also call winglets part of the screen.
