I have a 2017 GS Rallye supposedly with ABS pro,
Does anyone know why I don’t get lean angle information from my bike on my Nav vi?
I’ve had my Nav vi on a newer bike and lean angle information is shown on the last ride page.
Do I have a lean angle sensor??
Is there a softwere difference??

Yes it has a lean angle sensor and no you won't be able to display it

If the cylinder heads are hitting the deck, you can't lean any further.

Or

Get yourself an S1000rr.

My max lean; 52° right, 49° left, which is strange as I always though I was better on left's. Technology, proving how wrong you are.

Lean angle sensor....wtf?

When your arse starts going like a bunnies nose, you’ve leaned too far.

There’s an iPhone app, you download the app and play while riding, it measures lean angles, speed distances etc. No idea what peeps need it though

Yes it does

If you remove the Nav from the bike cradle and then click in My motorcycle, followed by last ride. The lean angle as well of lots of other info is available.

Cheers

Only in the WC Section :D

This is my 'LAI' (Lean Angle Indicator) fitted as standard to all F800GS's ...

... but I confess, sometimes it goes horribly wrong :rob

Being on the autism spectrum isn’t helping.
If something isn’t quite right it leads to angiaty anxiety and stress.
How I wish it was different.

Well, I thought you'd asked a simple straight forward question but all you seem to be getting is abuse ??

If it's any help I had a 2015 TE and it showed the lean angle on the Nav vI like you are describing. Unless the Rallye was different I would think it should show it unless there's a fault. Maybe have to ask a dealer.

Presume the angle is measured from horizontal so you are leaning more on the left.
If it was from the vertical your 52deg would be 38 from horizontal and think you would have been on your backside. :-)

P.S. also it does only show the readings from "last ride" .
So, if you've switched the ignition on\off a few times\removed\reinstalled the SatNav on bike I think it resets the readings to Zero.
