I recently know of a guy with a Breve 1100 who's bike failed annual test with 6 diodes out

Why would you submit a bike for test with such blatant faults

The principle you are working on is the 1of 2 policy,,, (two bulbs fitted in a cluster, if ones working it will pass)..... Diodes are not bulbs, and Vosa will not clarify the situation, in addition there is nothing written in the 2009 TM to make this stand up.

One test station will pass them at the 50% rule others will not.....

I regularly have tested HGV's which can have over 50 diodes in a lamp and i can categorically state Purfleet will pass them on this rule, Gillingham will not

Chatting to white coats at both locations, they tell me as nothing in the current TM, "its down to the testers discretion"
