These shouldn't break the bank

Would these upset the canbus bulb monitoring if wired into the lighting circuit?

8 x 2 = 16 LEDs drawing about 20mA apiece.....say 320mA ish.
Nah, should be fine. Won't harm. If anything hinky occurs then run them via a small relay.

Probably the same ones that buy a new bike every year because they have worn the current one out using it every Sunday morning in the summer

I wonder if anyone is mad enough to have bought one of those?!

Wire them to dip beam via an LED dimmer so they won't dazzle. Then run a wire from main beam supply that bypasses the dimmer module.
That will give low lumens no dazzle daytime running lights to work with dipped beam then hit main beam to get full lumen output.
Many so called narrow angle LED spot lamps are 30 degrees which is pretty much dip beam spread. Something like 20 degs or less would be good to work with the main beam.
To get all that working properly will need a relay on the main beam but they are cheap and easy enough to wire up.

Light bar

I've got 2 Hella micro DE on with dip and 2 FF50 (HID'd) on main beam.
It's all bright enough (especially on main beam).

They are mounted on a Rugged Roads light bar - but I'm not that happy with the light bar, it works OK but looks a bit like a builders bracket.

I have got an SW Motech light bar, which is nice quality but only wide enough to mount lights below the bar, not above.

Is there a better solution out there to mount 4 lights ?
