Not had time to read all of it yet past the first page but this could not have come at a better time as I am planning my own trip from London To Bangkok to then ship the 1100GS to the Philippines..

She (probably an 18 stone trucker named Igor) would prefer to see my commitment in the form of £900 sent by Western Union for her "Visa" apparently. Sad that she's not really spoken to many of her countrymen recently, as she'd have discovered that allegedly, I need the vast quantities of Viagra they keep offering me, so I'd be little use to her.
OK, as you asked...
In 2017 I'm going to spend a few more days there. We'll spend a couple of days in St Petersburg and Moscow too. 8 days in Russia I think. Is that enough?
Just an update on The Bitch...
I had a long chat with the Ktm Mechanic at the dealer today. Turns out The Bitch is sitting on the ramp with her legs tightly closed, her arms tightly crossed, and she's refusing to talk to anyone... including the chief exorcist back at the mother ship. She has locked down the immobilizer completely and nobody can get a work out of her at the moment. He plugged in the computer and her system spat out tons of abusive reports of maltreatment and problems from abs, tps, imobiliser, ecu, all sorts of shit. He also cannot get the system to display any gear indication or neutral light, even though he can confirm voltages through the switch. Fuck knows what the rider did when he was pulling it apart!
So. The Ktm mechanic hasn't seen this before. The Ktm exorcist cannot get any sense out of it from his remote connection. The mechanic tried resetting the keys and now the system reports it has 6 active keys!! WTF is going on I have no idea, and neither does he.
His best guess is the ECU. Ktm say they had another similar, changed the ignitions ...£500... kerching.... lasted 3 weeks. Then they had to change the ecu...£500... kerching... but my bike has completely shut everything down and cannot be started, even though it should start with the clutch lever in regardless of the neutral indicator...
And.. the multi function switch has gone mental too. It was doing it when I was away. You would go to change something and it would sit spinning through all the options for a while before picking one for itself. Like a one armed bandit. The switch is another £300...kerching...
TBH - The Bitch is a beautiful soulful ton of fun when it's going, but it's totally and utterly let down by all this shit and cheap crap strapped all over it.
So. I can do one of two things. I can tow the bike to an ancient English pond that still has a "ducking stool", tie the bike on and keep dropping it under the water until it either dies or finally admits its a fucking witch, or I can singlehandedly finance the whole of Ktm UK when the mechanic racks up even more time at £kerching/hour trying to actually get my bike to even start....
I'm checking out google maps for local ponds as we speak... BITCHHHHHHHHHHHH
