Anybody else had this, when riding the bike loses power for 2-3 seconds ( might not seem much, but it's bloody annoying). It feels like the throttle has been cut off, and has cut out once started again no problem. It has been in wollastons for 4 days, to which they put it down to the side stand switch and replaced. First chance to take it for a slightly longer ride and it did it again, back in Tuesday. The bike is 8 months old with 3k on it.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jay

Losing Power

Hi Jay

I have had the same problem.

I believe mine is down to the fact that very occasionally I subconsciously let go of the throttle.

It is a little weird, but as soon as I twist the grip it picks straight back up.

Initially I thought that it was something more, but I am now convinced it is me.

Regards

Dazlove

Wollaston said they tried all of them, eggchaser.
Dazlove, last time it did it was on the M1 sitting about 70ish no movement on the throttle.
Thanks for the suggestions, but I suppose I'll let Wollaston sort it out. Only downside I was supposed to go to Germany on it today, really peaved at that 5 friends there, and I had to goto the pub instead:beer:.

Did you get to the bottom of this problem ?

Only reason for asking is that a mate has got his GSA in Wollaston at the moment with the same symptoms and they've told him exactly the same thing, side stand switch ???

Cheers

Had something similar on mine (would simply cut out/die, applying revs helped... prior to that, it had been running super rich and fuel consumption was up by 25%) - even tho it wasn't showing as an error on the diagnostics, turned out it was the lambda sensor, on only one side weirdly.

Back in Wollaston today, so not got to the bottom of it yet. They said they have to do all the same checks again :blagblah. So it is probably sitting somewhere near your friends bike.
They gave me a f800gs as a courtesy bike, :censor:, but here is hoping they sort it, as I should have been in Germany this week on it.
