Loss of clutch fluid

I found it OK to bleed actually. I backfilled until the MC was full but could tell straightaway it still had air in as there was very little pressure. I then bled through the bleed valve on the slave cylinder and after 10 or a dozen pumps on the lever there were no more bubbles so a couple more for luck and tightened it all back up. All seemed fine at this point - plenty pressure at the lever and the bite point seemed to be where it used to be. I also tied up the lever overnight just in case.

I have since done a few hundred miles on the bike and had to adjust the clutch lever span to get the bite back toward the outer end of the lever's travel as for some reason it had moved back to very close to the bars - resulting in many fluffed gear changes and stalls. I think the different design of slave (I fitted an older type) had altered the bite point.:nenau

Mine has always had a bite point closer to the bars than I like. But no amount of bleeding (including with the slave removed from the clutch cover) has made any difference.
