Replaced the brake lines on my 98 GS, bled the system with any:eek drama except--the brake lever doesn't want to return all the way without some very gentle help. It's as if a spring has gone missing--yes I know there is no "spring" in there but what could account for this loss of spingbackatudiness.

master cylinder? :nenau hand guard in the way? I'd re-fill and try again before I go taking things apart though just to be on the safe side... and brake fluid is cheap.

There is a spring - it comes as part of the cylinder repair kit. Not unknown for them to snap with all the full travel being used whilst bleeding. Common on Vauxhall vectras and astras as well:thumb2
