Does anyone know if BMW have revised the bung design yet, to keep it in place? Or has anyone found a double flange replacement? The inevitable has happened to mine and it has disappeared into the abyss of the driveshaft housing.
Not sure when it happened, or if it has had a negative effect on the driveshaft condition. However, to combat any light corrosion, I’ve emptied half a can of ACF 50 in through the hole and plugged it with a 10mm trim button for now, which I can pull out every now and then, to allow it to clear any moisture.
