I use Fairy liquid. (That is with a capital F) Just re-fitted mine yesterday after changing bikes and worked a treat. Just takes a good rain or a couple of washes and it all dissipates.

The cheapest available. Tesco super saver own brand. Don't forget to stand on the pegs when you go to get some though...
