Lurker with questions

Just lurking and trying to decide, won't be for a while yet (finances), but considering an 1150 or 1200 GS, not big and daft enough for a GSA, need something that'll get me to work every day (70 mile round trip) and do a good turn on the weekend, ride all (well most) weather, so looking for good weather protection for me and the bike.

So what's the craic, why should I bother and which should I get, where's the thread that tells me the diff between models, what mpg you actually get (no fisherman's tales), how horrific the servicing costs are and which bits fall off after a hard winter, oh and the myriad of screen options, etc,

and btw, you have Chad to thank/ blame

Chad will give you better answers than most in here plus if your looking for an 1150 Chad is selling one of the nicest ones on the site at a reasonable cost

Yeah, thanks, already spoken to Chad, was hoping for some more feedback, not got the cash at the mo' or I'd be highly tempted by his steed, what with all the farkles and compulsive polishing it's had

I think I fancy a 1200, but the insurance man say I be too bad a boy till October when my license gets the Persil treatment
