Managed to take 2 pics today. Clueless where but it was decent. Deffo less money into roads in Belgium than France. Saw more Gendarmes along the Meuse “highway” today. They’d pulled a local in his Peugeot daily. More bikes than cars on the road. Glorious. Caught onto the tailcoats of a local so we had a good hoon up some or other Col.

Rode through Gedin. There was no indication of where or what is happening this weekend. Or I missed it ? Lots of detours on though in general

Dinner is on. Just pork chops and sausages to go on. Courgette in flames, tomato, onion and garlic salsa for the sandwiches tomorrow with left over sausages. Spuds boiling. Nice glass of rose and radio paradise mellow mix in the background. Might add a tomato and onion salad when I get my dish back from spuds. View attachment 345337

Only took 1 more pic when I took an off road detour. Not on purpose. Made good use of WiFi to download 3.5 hours of radio paradise tunes for tonight. I’ve now ordered a collapsible bucket for ice / water. Spag Bol tonight. Not started yet as it’s scheduled to rain in 1 minute and then thunder storms. Might have to hope I have enough gas in the canister. Otherwise it’s a raw carrot, mushrooms, tomato plus a tin of tuna

Fine day today. Finished off the re heated spaghetti Bol for breakfast as the bread driver was delayed. Rode the 2 routes around mont something or other. Road through Rocroi

Took a photo in front of some logs. I like wood!


Ran out of data. Note to self, book a campsite that has internet unless on unlimited data. Had to find a cafeteria with WiFi to log in and buy more data. Montherme it was



Skipped lunch to ride so had to get a cake. Well wanted to rather. Lamb chops and salad on braai tonight

Actually went past the lake earlier and came across a biking washer cum tyre inflator. Good idea.
Bike was including drainage and a stand to hold your steed up

Back home today. Great roads outwards to and then past Chimay. Done just shy of 1250 miles. Guage was reset at start of trip and shows 59MPG. Not bad when it was consistently run in dynamic Sunday to Thursday and road the rest of the time. Did notice it dropped to 57 when you hit 80mph consistently on the French M way run in to Calais. Be warned, the last Aire is about 35 miles short of the tunnel. Oh and they charge over 2 euro's a litre. Otherwise I was paying around 1.62 - 172 a litre of the cheap stuff...Home safe, sound, unpacked, clothes washed and dried!
