That would be great new - where did you hear that and any mention of the dealer franchise?
it's been rumoured in other threads on here that Sytner will add Motorrad but they are on Penarth Road, around the corner from Hadfield Road.

Sytner have acquired Motorrad sites in the Midlands and I used the Shrewsbury branch last year to have a new shaft fitted for free as per the "this is not a recall" bulletin
Heard it from a mate today. He said he’s glad he doesn’t have to take his XR to Bristol now for service. He didn’t mention a name.
Heard today M&P Cardiff to close next week, some operations to transfer to Swansea.

Her contract is with Ducati so she should be fine, I think servicing in the future will be less convenient and probably more costly for many with the nearest options being Riders in Bristol or M&P in Swansea (if they manage to hold onto the franchise) . Ducati owners in South Wales are in the same boat as BMW owners it seems.

There might also be a contract with a finance company as well, or credit card company if the deposit was paid with one. If so, they will share point of sale liability under S75 of Consumer Credit Act

- Have to say no local dealer is a pain in the arse - loose a day near enough for each service.
Seems the new owners are already profit searching / cutting costs - Investment groups seem to want to maximise profits for the new share holders than looking after the customers that make the profits for them.
Me-Not a fan of multi manufacturer dealerships.

Ducati moving further West means less customer population and further still for service needs for the major population areas around southern coasts of Wales. Interesting choice. Wonder if they will hang onto franchise. Too much cloak and dagger stuff going on at moment.
I call there occasionally,it’s walking distance for me, I’ve spoken to a staff member who has been there years, he has no idea what’s happening, everything is top secret apparently, all I was told there’s a new building going up and it’s within two miles of the existing site ,but no idea where.

None of these companies has filed anything to suggest insolvency.
Had they moved to new premises as mentioned above? If not, I suspect the lease has expired on the existing building and the new one is not ready yet. Either a delay in the construction or he can't raise the finance. I imagine the stock and employees were part of M&P Direct and he can't transfer staff over to the new company if he does not have premises. The website is still live so he might be able to operate the mail order and import business from a rented warehouse.

Gates are locked, people outside trying to get their bikes back is what I’ve been told , a Bloodbiker friend has a bike in the workshop. Administrators going in next week and workshop is clearing customers bikes
Oh dear, how sadStrong rumour that M&P have gone under, apparently place is locked up and staff been made redundant.
Went up there today doors were locked and a guy was there demanding his keys for his HD.
