map updates are bad bad bad

Had a Zumo 550 with full European coverage from Jan07. In December last year I decided to update spending £60 on the internet... Now its all screwed! Lost most of european coverage in large scale...

I am no PC whiz but have no problem with downloading the maps themselves from either a DVD or online. Where I have had three problems is over using them. See thread: Here

Two of the three problems (one of which had nothing to do with Garmin or Mapsource) were sorted, the last is a work in progress.

Did you try calling Garmin? They are very helpful.

Did you try the update from a DVD or online?

Where are the new mapsets not appearing? On your PC? On the Zumo? Both?
