I'm using a Quest (s/w v 3.50) (cityselect v7) and mapsource v6.8 so all software is up to date.
I recently changed all my maps to France (for a week long trip i made) which all went well, however upon my return when reloading all the UK maps i came across the following problem.
The upload of maps was completed successfully according to mapsource, however when i went to actually use it, no maps were shown on the GPS at all? In the maps section my uploaded maps were listed and ticked (selected) but physically the GPS showed no map info when active. GPS was effectively rendered useless!!
I tried reloading maps again - same problem. Suspecting the unit to be buggered, before sending back to Garmin, i figured it'd be worth doing both a factory reset and delete all user data.
Once completed BOTH operations, then reloading the maps the Quest is now finally working correctly again.
Just wondered if anyone else has experienced anything similar or if i've just been subject to an "odd" problem???????
