What's the best method of installing Mapsource on a Mac. Don't want to use any sort of emulation software.
Thanks
Thanks

Having clicked on chasr's linky. Thanks for that ! . it spurred me to download the conversion software.
For the last year of Mac ownership I've ran a windows PC next to the Mac purely for mapsource stuff
Anyway.. a couple of hours later and I seem to be able to route plan on the Mac and send it to the GPS
I'm still navigating round the system as its different to mapsource on the PC.. its called roadtrip.
I've sorted a run out for Llangollen which has been transferred to the 2650 with no problems, and started a bit of route planning for the forthcoming european trip .....
Looks like the laptop will soon be redundant![]()
My problem is I don't have a PC to convert the discs![]()
Ah... not much help then![]()
Not sure Dave... to do what I did I had Mapsource already on the PC ... downloaded what was needed to both the PC and the Mac. It then compressed the files on the PC... I then used a memory stick to transfer the compressed file to the Mac and it seems to be working![]()
Though what Chasr is not telling you is that he planned a recent trip using Roadtrip and downloaded to his Nuvi 550.
Apparently it lead him a merry dance.
I used Mapsource and my Nuvi 550 on 1700 mile trip in March and it was fine.
I've tried Roadtrip myself but have gone back to Mapsource as it's much quicker and more reliable.
The problem is getting the CN9 on the Mac
Why is that ?
I found it very straight forward.
I've got CN9 and NT as well :

How did you do that?
I just followed the instructions when I downloaded the software.
Can't remember as it was months ago,but it was very straightforward.
I think Arsey did the same as me, and converted from PC to Mac. It's then easy to add new maps, either by download (lifetime maps) or from DVD.
You can add maps directly to RoadTrip. Normal unlock rules apply.
Didn't say that. I converted the first maps off Mapsource, and have added new maps directly to RoadTrip since.so you don't have to do the PC conversion thing then, even for the first maps you install?
