I've had the mapsource programme installed in my pc for a couple of years, and have done the software updates regularly. (now at 6.15.6)

I've now got a 2720, and will be selling off my 2610, and all the discs that came with it.

Do I need to keep a copy of the original 2610 disc, or are the software updates stand-alone?
(The original disc is titled "City Navigator Setup CD")

I'm assuming that at some point i will have to reinstall everything in my PC!

Thanks

if you're selling everything thats goes with the 2610 I asume you mean the mapsource and mapping disk's.
If so you can just delete the mapping from your PC and keep mapsource so you can install your new copy of mapping for the 2720 which will probably come with mapsource on the disks anyway.

I don't think the mapsource updates are stand alone, as far as I know. but if find you need the original mapsource disks PM me.

Thanks.
Already installed the 2720 maps, which now show on the drop-down menu in mapsource.
Just noticed that the mapping discs say "with mapsource for trip and waypoint management" :blast
So, shouldn't be a problem to let all the original discs go.
