Cheers Possu for organising a great day.

(I'm sure there'll be a ride report, either here or on ADV rider and I'll post all the videos of the day, just thought this would interest the HP2 boys!)

How do you speed up Video footage like? What software do you use?

Thanks for posting the vid Louis :thumb2

And to those that think I wasn't going fast enough... leave this n00bie alone :(

I did manage a little bit of air though - first time I learnt to jump on purpose, now I just got learn to jump further and higher ;)

Excellent guys! when were you up there?

I was marshalling at the enduro on Saturday and believe me those hills feel a hell of a lot steeper when you are on them

well done Nicky, if that is only your fifth time on a bike, it's bloody impressive that you lapped that track :)

Fanum, Ashdown is located just south on Didcot, not far from the Ridgeway, the track is good, but if you really want some fun you should see the area they open for the enduro - not knocking your ride guys, but the enduro opens up a whole lot of additional stuff both sides of the fair mile, sadly its not open more often.

next event there is Saturday 25th July - South Reading Hare & Hounds - Ashdown Farm, Blewbury, Oxon. - South Reading MCC (thanks to Enduro News)

lol... I'm guessing you guys might have been up there Sunday, I think I can see the impact crater from where I came off at the top of one of the hills, Nikcy you did it with more style though ;)

edit : Oh and Mav... n00bie, no way, lot of respect for getting out there on a big bike... its a very interesting track

great vids and music btw!

Mav.....don't worry, I Was joking....it was just that the video made you look slower which is odd 'cos normally its the other way around :nenau

it was obvious you were actually giving it some beans from the dust squirts from the rear up the hills :thumb2:clap:clap

ps this pic deserves a front page placement IMO :thumb2:thumb2

Cheers for that- I'll keep an eye open on it......I do rather fancy some of that :thumb2

I knew you were only joking :thumb2

In all seriousness - it felt like a key milestone to be able to jump with intent, as opposed to simply having too much gas and it happening by accident :blast

As for coming do to the track, do that and you can take the sauce around the track :green gri

I enjoyed those videos:clap well done lads :bow,(especialy the stunt rider) I'd love to get out and try a couple of laps on that track with a few of ye some time ...
Last year I went out on a practice night to a MX track and got the most unbelieveable buzz  but I regret not bringing a photographer with me..

Sunday is practice day at Ashdown, £20 a day each, great value for money.

One note of caution, on a good day, there can easily be 50+ bikes there, a bit chaotic if you're a novice. Personally, I'm not keen crowded MX tracks, too many ego's & a possible lack of concern for others.

The open slopes at Ashdown are also rock hard, the topsoil's eroded & it's down to the bedrock. To add to the pain if you fall off, the place is littered with sharp flint stones, so wear full protection.

We basically had the track to ourselves (6 of us) plus about 5 'crossers & a quad or two but never more than 4-5 bikes out at any one time which is what made a great day even better.

Another report here with more pics & video's:
