Just read the test in the MCN and nothing in it I did not expect to read, best just got better etc.,
No adverse comment as such, he seemed to like it ..............

As per my comment on PH:

"This should be a cracking bike, each incarnation of the boxer twin 1100/1150/1200 GS has been better than the last...I have no reason to believe this one will buck the trend."

You're following this with interest, have you a secret lusting for one or more importantly put your £500 deposit down

Why does that not surprise me (regardless of the true merits or otherwise of the bike)

As per my reply in the other thread:

It is no secret that I loved the triple-black 1200 I demo'd twice...once solo, I loved it (I really did) and again with MissB hoping to sway her...but no I'd need to get MissB on side though as she wasn't/isn't keen on the whole "GS" thing....she hated the demo run, said it was "boring, slow, big, heavy, ugly and sounded rubbish" and Despite me hustling along (as you can imagine) dull.

Ironically She likes the 800GS (her words "it looks smart, not big and lardy") but I didn't enjoy the demo I had, the seat had hard/odd edges to it (I like to grip with my legs) so I couldn't get comfy and the clutch action was very heavy (even compared to my FireBlade) made my wrist ache and I'd had enough after 30mins, with that and the edges of the seat digging in my inner thigh I'd had enough by 45mins.

Edit to add: I'm not doing the "Beta testing" for anyone :P

It would be nice if someone could send me a scan of the MCN R1200gs test as we haven't got MCN here in France ;)

Well... in fact nothing new ;)

I have never put any store in publications ride reports, just get a test ride and make up my own mind. Unless I have already been brainwashed by subliminal advertising :blast
As others have said why would publishers bite the hand that feeds. I can't remember the last time I read a bad ride report.just my own opinion and I maybe talking total bollox :D

Nah, the GS1150 was the zenith of the marque, closely followed by the R100gs.

Adverse comment and MCN, neigh the twain shall meet.......:D
Only good for tomorrow's fish and chip's.
