Hi Ian, did yours come with 6 spare "velcro" stickies? Mine did & look like an ideal way of having more thanone position available :thumb

secdem screen - first impresions

managed a short ride today to get an initial impresion of the new screen. The conditions were quite blusterry but overall impressions were good, a definite improvement over the standard screen. Lowere noise and less buffeting.

I had the screen on the lowest setting and still prefer it to the standard screen on its highest setting, which was the best setting for me. The screen is taller than standard and I thought this would interfere with view of the road. This didnt turn out to be the case.

Everything seems well made and took about 20mins to fit.

Any pics + prices?

Haven't fitted mine yet as it only arrived today but it was £83 or thereabouts including delivery from Motobins !!!!!

when you do,upload some pictures,so we can see how it looks on the bike,i think that the shape is a little different from the one the bike has at its own.

But wil probably do a good job,it is high enough :)

Secdem Screen

Hi Philip & Welshmagician or anyone else who has a Secdem
screen.

I am looking for a screen which will stop the noise & buffeting caused by the original and would like to know what are the dimensions of the screens you have fitted?

I am 5'11 and use the low seat position but no matter what position i cannot stop the noise or buffeting!

Thanks for your help.

Tony.

it looks nice and is very cheap(115 euros), comparing to the Wunderlich..(228 euros)

It's all about what you like !

I like the style of Wunderlich, but the money is serious point !!

Where did you buy it from. Is it the same one that Nippy Norman is advertising. Looks amazingly similar

Hi all

I think I'll have a look at getting a sedkem/nn screen, I've only one question though.

With the standard screen, I find that once you get in behind trafic (especially lorries) the bike starts to get knocked around a bit, does this get worse with a larger screen?

Regards Shep

I cant answer your question but I have noticed that the bike is slightly more effected by the wind - although its near impossible to be certain about that. A general feeling I had before the secdem was fitted is that wind gusts seemed to affect me more than the bike - ie i felt the wind pushing my body around rather than unsettling the bike. With secdem I have noticed the bike moving more - but nothing serious, and havnt noticed the gust pushing me. I certainly prefer the new screen. By the way - total cost from secdem inc postage is £100 so nippy norman seems to be good value.

Do you look over or through the screen??

What about vibration of the screen - any change??
