I had the same problem when I first got my GSA....booked the service quickly cos of availability, and then struggled to get the miles in
What I did was got up really early on the Saturday of the service, and was on the road by 6.30!
Technically I was just heading for the dealers for the service..but it felt like going away on a trip! And I just went off in all directions, just really for the love of riding the bike, eventually ending up where I needed to be.
With the roads being quiet and empty, and luckily it being a glorious summer morning, the riding was amazing!
I racked up the extra miles in no time...and remember arrriving at the dealers at 8.30...alongside the other bikers booked in for servicing who looked very bleary-eyed...feeling alert, alive, and happy, with the biggest smile on my face
The hardest part was handing over the keys cos I couldn't wait to do it again on the way home
But as Frank says......doing a 100 miles on the motorway will not benefit the bike...better to be a few miles less.
Hope this is of help....and I'll have my fingers crossed for a sunny spring morning for you on Saturday
