I have trawled the search function but nothing seems as specific as my fault.

I had riden nearly 2 hrs from London (cool summer evening) when the bike stalled completely on approaching a round about (dash lights on). It restarted immediately and ticked over fine and rode on ok. After another 5 miles the bike seemed to drop a cylinder on anything other than acceleration (no dash lights on so not whole ening stall is my guess). I could accelerate, ease off throttle at required speed and the engine would immediately bog down, open the throttle again and it took off with no problems. At the end of the journey it was ticking over fine.

Any ideas, because at the moment having to constantly accelerate is going to get me in trouble with plod?!

Ahhh yes should have said;

1150 single spark
Remus can and y piece
New-ish EON 2s
I think it has also been fitted (at somepoint) with a power commander type chip thingy although I haven't checked.

Has been parked up since (hols) although will take it out tonight.

Does a failing coil pack burst back into life if an increased demand (RPM) is asked of it?

you have a single coil not the coil packs on yours ,i would check the fuel for water if its been parked up a while ,if there not to much in the tank drain it and put in fresh

Try putting some "dry fuel" additive in the tank.
