I have created a route in mapsource with 14 waypoints which I have renamed, when I transfer this information over to my 2610 some of the waypoints do not appear on the GPS screen it is only showing 11 of the 14 transfered is there a max amount of waypoints that you can use or some other reason for this, also is it possible to find a place using the longitude and latitude coordinates, if so can someone tell me how and where do I input these coordinates.

Thanks

Been there and done that. :o

Make sure you have the GPS unit set up to "Show All" not just "Show Nearest".

I'll bet you a pint thats what your problem is. :D

Can you attach the route file so we can have a look at it.

To use a Lat/Long coordinate create a waypoint anywhere then edit its coordinates to the ones you want it to show :thumb

Use the waypoint tool (in MapSource) and create a waypoint by clicking anywhere on the map. A window "Waypoint Properties" will appear. Here you can key in lat & long coordinates. When ready click "Show On Map". Zoom in/out to a suitable scale and select everything on the screen by dragging a rectangle with the arrow tool. All waypoints near your point will now be highlighted.

On the GPS unit you can also do it but in a different way.

Taff
Where do I find the "Show All" "Show Nearest". options in the GPS unit.

thanks

Haven't got my GPS in the office with me, so I'm going from memory here. Try "Find" then select "Waypoint" then press "Menu". IIRC when you touch the screen, there should be several options inc "Show All" "Show nearest" "Nearest to Destination" etc

I apologise if this is pants, but if the above doesn't work I'll check it for you tonight when I download the Hogroast waypoints etc. :thumb

Also working from the office, my 276c does something similar, while in the uk riding to Plymouth all the waypoints for Spain and France were absent from the find/waypoints menu which was worrying :( until I went in to the main menu/waypoints and found them all listed there. Sure enough on arriving in Spain all was revealed as normal! :)

Sorry, but the above instructions are not 100% correct.

Press "Find" then select "Waypoints" from the touch screen. On the top of the screen, you will have 2 headings - ""Waypoints" and "Near Here". If you touch the downward pointing arrow on the right hand heading, you will get a drop down list of options inc "By Name", "Near Here" "Near Other" etc,

Select the "By Name" from the touchscreen and all your waypoints should appear in alphabetical order. :thumb
