I ran out of petrol 100 yards from the City Limits of Moffat :blast

Well I wanted to know how far I could go when the last bar of the petrol gauge started flashing. Through wind and rain I just hoped it wasn’t on this sharp corner, or that hairpin. Visibility was crap and the little guy on my shoulder kept telling me to pull over in a safe and chosen place to put the petrol from my side mounted 2L jerrycan in, but I told him to bollox! The miles stacked up ....

100 yards from Moffat City Limits he told me to bollox :D

Quick top up from the gerry can and within minutes I was in the courtyard of the Buchleuch Arms. Clint got his dads GS out of its tin hut, turned it round as if it was a moped and shoved it in forwards, picked the back end up and moved it right in to the side, and pushed my Adventure Cub in alongside it. THIS is the first time my likkle ‘bike has slept with another ...

To be continued ... I have to catch up on my beauty sleep, but suffice to say, despite the weather forecast, despite the weather as is ... I’m booked in to a small wee village pub come hotel in the Yorkshire Dales tomorrow, well tonight now, for the last night before home :thumby:
