Money to spend? Exhaust?

Safe and considerate riding isnt dicated by the make of your tail pipe, it's the mindset of the rider and sheer commonsense.

Oh I quite agree. But to someone ignorant about motorcycling, a bike with a loud exhaust can appear to be going faster or just be plain more annoying. It's just something I personally feel is bad for motorcycling's image in general, but that doesn't mean you have to agree :)

As for the national parks thing, it was Michael Meacher MP that proposed banning bikes - I can't remember the details, but the fact that people listened to him and took it seriously shows the image that motorcycling has in some peoples' minds. If you want news reports on the story, search the MCN website for his name.

I'm taking the Remus revolution alloy off mine & refitting the original, so if anyone wants to buy one;)

Exhausts

Have to agree with Mouse, no point in winding up the public at large as they vastly outnumber us, as for the noise letting dozing car drivers know we're there, by the time they hear the exhaust the bike is already ahead of them so its a bit of an own goal especially after a few years when you find you've given yourself Tinitus . Mike.
P.S. Happy Xmas to all.
