Extremely pissed off!

Just had a new BT Home Hub 2.0 delivered yesterday to replace the BT home hub I already had. The Hub I had was working OK with my kids laptop and Xbox connecting to it wireless. I remember having great difficulty getting the wireless connection set up on this hub when I installed it and had to make several phone calls before I got it sorted. I thought it was just a one off!! Anyhow tonight I installed the new hub. It was a simple case of "follow the instructions and enter the wireless code and you will have no problems" Did it work? Did it fcuk:mad:. The hub refused to recognise the wireless key code. I had to get on the phone (to India again) to get the thing sorted out. 40 barstewarding minutes on the phone for some clampet to basically change channel.

Why in this day and age can things not be straight forward!!! What was the point in supplying instructions if they don't work? Why could the channel not be preset properly when you get the product? why oh why oh why???

My mate has just phoned me to say that he was having the same problem as myself with his BT Home hub.

Look at it another way.......just think back less than 10 years and you wouldn't believe how good wifi is now...plus the phone system lets you speak to people 3/4 of the way around the world for the same price as a local call:eek:and it got sorted so you're back online

glass half empty :nenau

Yeah-when I fitted my Hub, it was the same story. If they sent me a new box, I wouldn't use it!
Every 3rd or 4th time I turn on the internet now, I have to go into programmes and turn the dam thing back on. A friend recently installed Skype for me, but was afraid to get him to fix the problem, as it would only open a new can of worms...better the devil you know!!
