Most things Italian

That's some Auto Jumble. Puts ours to shame. I generally dont do them but I'd definitely walk round there.
Same, not really my thing.I was put onto this via a scooter dealer(I'm after a Rally 200/SS180)It just happened to fall into place with me Rimini stopover. For the €15 it was worth the visit, even to see how other countries do it.They did this very well.

I’ll have the Li Silver Special please
They wanted top doller for each and every scooter there. They've wised up to the value(especially the English interest, that i had been forewarned about)Some LI 150'S were €4500,absolutely mad money considering they are falling off a cliff here.

There’s been an excellent eclectic mix of sights and sites in this trip report.

I recall seeing the little Minarelli bikes racing in the 50cc and 125cc categories at the old Assen circuit. Very competitive, I seem to remember.

The colours are the first thing that attracted me to this little chap, then start really looking at it.The forced induction catches the eye,all one seat cowl, mudguard, front suspension.Bet it was entertaining to ride.

I think they raced in that colour scheme?

The little 50 cc races were something else. 20 bikes into the corner; the rider in 20th emerged first. Happy days.

Thanks for rekindling happy memories.

:beerjug:

Yesterday was a rather warm day at Misano for the MotoGP
Disabled sticker of no use here, this was the closest I could get to stand D,good 10 minutes walk away, couple of other brit bikes in attendance.

Fancied a Honda T Shirt.

Robbing bastards, €70 for a T shirt.By far the most expensive gear I saw of the stalls.

I was roasting sat in the stand(bloody small seats aswell :D)So ventured under the stand.

Much cooler with a breeze and a better view(ish)Couple of people had the same idea.

Made meself a seat.

Then a lot more people had the same idea:oops:
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

This lot turned up for a dance,I have no idea.

Ba

Back to the hotel, bar next door was having a wedding on the beach,I gor asked to move to the cheap seats:ROFLMAO:Were me an me helmet decided on a selfie, only realising at this point, the helmet has a bit of a face on it.

Hotel shuts tomorrow, season over.

Don't know how this got dropped to the bottom, but some stunt man taking photos of a group of wannabes

Today is a 5 hour ride to Rovereto, just north of Lake Garda.

Yesterday was a relaxed day riding through some beautiful Italian countryside, om my way to Rovereto.
Massive open cast mining for marble.

Castle in the middle of nowhere.

The roads were virtually empty,I'm so glad I knocked the tolls on the head.

Ice cream parlour in the middle of nowhere, it was delicious.

Bit peckish when I got to thehotel so broke out the emergency ration pack:D

Then down for a beer and some free nibbles, perfect.

So much better than the steak I had earlier in the trip

This one should have been hire, can't be asked to redo it:beerjug:

Made it up Stelvio(after a nav detour up some goat track)
Once again through almost 100 miles of beautiful villages/countryside, far,far nicer than my entry point into Italy.

View from me hotel window.

Some Polish dubs had made the climb, must have been a fair job getting them up here.

Thats the hotel to the right.

I'm not gonna give it the biggun, at some points I was clenching, thought was on the floor a couple of times. So easily done, especially when whatever is coming round the hairpin had taken a bloody great wide berth(why take a bloody great motorhome up there)

Goulash soup for starter.

Cracking sunset.

Mushroom tagliatelle for the main course. No photo of the struddle :D

Well thats it for Italy, down the other side for lake Konstanz(Bodensee)tomorrow.
Had a great time, met some truly nice people and visited more places than I thought I would.I'll come back, just not when it's so warm.Italy, for me has been a crackin trip.
Now I have 11 days to meander back to Calais, couple of stops lined up(Baden-Baden) then it will be suck it and see.

I had a sleepless night, things were playing on my mind and the altitude was playing havoc with me breathing, the bonus being this.
Stuck me head (and phone)out the window many times during the night, not a noise, nothing, pitch black bar the stars, was a moment to behold, doubt I'll experience it again. The photo doesn't do it justice.

Up and ready at daybreak,again,stunning.

This is what made the Stelvio for me,no noise, just me at a time in life of piece, smelling the air and flowers.

Then that was enough of that and the decent,as I was(at this point)not doing tolls, the road branched off from the usual route up from Bormio and I headed to Val Müstair and into Switzerland.

It was a bit nippy and I only had me mesh jacket(Oh for the Held I ditched in France earlier in the trip:D)Thermals are for poofters:cool:

Heading into a bit of stunning mist.

Stunning roads to ride again,I've really been spoiled by chance mostly, get of the motorways and tolls.

Erm,this pass wasn't the half of it.Me Tomtom tried to take me via a live train passage. How me and the train booth lady laughed 😀 😆.

Then I was in Austria.

As the vignette is only €5.10, I decided I liked the look of one on me screen,LOOK AT ME,LOOK AT ME:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:Christ did it pay dividends, hour later the heavens opened,I was 30 miles from the hotel.Got under a bridge and popped tolls on the nav, reduced the distance to 20 miles.HiHo silver and away we went, mesh jacket, mesh strides and summer gloves, there was no stopping me.Was a tad drippin when I got to the hotel.

Next few photos are a little jumbled but its a posh(for me)hotel, right on the lake.

Got its own swimming hut thingy thats doing a Sushi evening.I was invited to join when I checked in but at €20 a dish,it's a swerve from me.

I doff my cap to the very 😍 young lady on reception, when she saw the look on my face when she said it was €17 a night parking the bike, she very kindly brushed it aside,I think i ❤️ her.

Decided to be a train wanker again.

To visit this bar,it was shut, bugger.

Found a Thai restaurant that does take aways and she cooks it in front of you.I'm back at the hotel now, will have it after a few beers.Did plan on sitting on the balcony with a bottle of red.Trouble is,it hasn't stopped pissing down.

Random photo of a delicious meatball i had when I stopped for fuel and a coffee

Yesterday was a non day,190 miles of mostly motorways(knocking the motorway off would have added 2/3 hours to the journey,I just didn't fancy it today)
Went down for the best breakfast I've had on the trip.
Slab of honey anyone. We were pigs at the trough, what a selection of grub on offer, and not forgetting the self service wine, and people were necking it,greedy bastards :D

Went for a little walk along the lake, was a much better day but still a chill in the air.

Thought for a split second to use the bath house facilities on the lake, soon got that nonsense out me head.

Polish me boots on me way back to me room for an hours snooze, absolutely no rush to leave this crackin hotel.

Then it was off to Baden-Baden.When I got here I was suprised I've booked 6 nights and not the 4 I thought I had, erm,,,,,,,,,,,,,O well.

Sounds like a great hotel, care to pass on the name/location pls?
There you go Steve, screen shot from booking.com and a red pointy thing on the map.

Take no notice of the Black Forest title,I was looking at stuff to see and do and rolled down to the hotel on maps.

Wonder around Baden-Baden today,lovely city.

This is the famous Baden-Baden roman bathing house, where most days is Roman/Irish bathing-Thats nudes to me and you.

Was only allowed into the entrance, unless I was willing to ditch the shreddies. They weren't ready for my Adonis like physic so I left em to it:oops:

Ze price for going commando.

No idea why I snapped this.

The casino

Very elegant and very busy, not something I've ever been tempted to do.I walked in as far as the place you get ya chips but thought better of it than to start snapping away.

Can't remember what this old building is all about, but nice all the same.

Quick edit-----It's the old pump house for the Roman baths. The inner part was shut so I'll try that again before I leave. No idea whats inside but I bet its worth seeing.

Now then,do ya feel luck, well do ya punk:reaper

Back of the nudey bath house.

Some art along the way.

Don't ask me.

Something distinctly German about there signs.

Yeah I walked up em and round n down.

Took this photo at the top,in the background you can see some urns on stilts that are to do with the Roman/Irish nudes baths.

That was enough, back to the bar near me apartment for a few beers and some dinner.

Not sure what the plan is for tomorrow, I'll decide over me breakfast 😋

As a side note, this place is mobbed with Russians, I started noticing the accent a little this morning when it was raining, this afternoon when the sun came out they were everywhere. Apparently this is the biggest enclave of Russians in Europe(Google search)People watching has been great, state of the older Russian women is something to behold, more rubber in them lips n tits than I've got spinning round on me wheels.

IIRC there's also another public spa baths where you can wear your cozzie
You are quite right sir,I didn't appreciate that fact when I watched bathers trunderling towards the baths, towel tucked under arm, waiting to perv bath :D The fully dressed joby is a couple of metres next door(new building, looks shite)I will of course try the full gentleman's offering out:D

Out for a ride in the Black Forest today, beautiful scenery(That lid is laughing at me,the bastard 😆)

Beautiful roads.

Beautiful towns/villages.

Biggest cuckoo clock in the world apparently.

Nice bit of architecture.

Been nice riding round today, the Germans do make sunday a family day,all the parks through the Forest were crammed with families, good on em.
Get back, quick change and down me local guv.

Few pints n a bit of grub,lovely.

Tomorrow I'm going all Michelin at the restaurant, can't wait 😋
