Motorworks´ got a nice new website and everything, but they have removed their email info and they havent responded to my order inquiree for three days. So, where else can I order parts for my 1150GS? Any recommendations?

For right now, I need a new valve/rocker cover (after my recent &%!€"@*#) with o-rings and gaskets.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I know that Motorworks has a website and you can order on line, but i always ring, discuss the things I want and get within a couple of days :thumb2

They did say on Tuesday they where busy catching up with all web orders from the weekend. My order just arrived good service.

Cheers

Simon

VERY Busy over 2 Holiday weekends My friend does the e mails and he dealt with a couple of hundred after of last day back last week

It is a relatively a small company and they get swamped after all us folks get a chance to fettle in the garage for a long weekend

Do call them and ask to speak to the guy that does the e mails

Just to make that clear – I have placed numerous orders with Motorworks before and have experienced nothing but great service from them. This time though – for what ever reason – no response to emails for days, and I didnt

Actually they did answer. This afternoon, about one hour after I order my parts from James Sherlock –*another UK company that´s been a pleasure to deal with.

Parts are on the way –*soon the eagle will soar again.

Motobins?
James Sherlock?

James Sherlock has a very good service!
Quick delivery as well!

Regarding Motobins I am not so sure anymore!
Currently, I do have an ongoing issue with my last order.
They have sent me the wrong parts. :blast
Ok, no one is perfect, these kind of things happening every now and then. :(
However, I made contact via email as recommended on their website.
So far I have not received any response (for a week now!).
Sent a second email just as a reminder, still awaiting response....

P.S. Motoworks performed always very well with my orders in the past...

I'd agree

Somethings definitely lacking in Motorworks customer service in my opinion, I've placed 3-4 orders with them over the last month or so and also enquired about availability of some used parts , all with the same fairly slow service and really slow response times to emails etc.

It took almost 2 weeks to get a service kit that i'd bought and paid for and emails enquiring took 2-3 days to get a response, last one took over a week. All a bit disappointing if you ask me. I appreciate that it's been a busy time for holidays and all that but it's not like they were sprung upon anyone.

By contrast I placed an order with Sherlocks for a part on Wednesday and it arrived on my doorstep on Thursday.

Just saying that these days we all have choices and generally it's down to poor customer service that i don't go back to a company. I'm sure they're good site sponsors but let's not kid ourselves that that's anything but a way of them hitting their target market cheaply.

Cool thing about forums like this is you can get to see which retailer is on form and which isn't

Bought and paid for a part from Motorworks which had already been picked on Wednesday at 9:30 am, called on Friday at 11:30 to be told "it should be leaving today".

If thats what others think is "good service" I applaud your patience but I disagree.

I think Motoworks are no worse than any other supplier I phoned placed an order on tuesday it arrived thursday morning so I would say that that was good service

Cheers

I've used them many times before & twice a month ago, for swinging arm bearings and then a couple of days later paralever bearings and pin, both times the phone call was efficient, parts dispatched / arrived promptly, no problems at all with service, I have to speak as I find :thumb
For those waiting for emails to be replied to, I would pick up the phone.

i no how you feel ive just had a bad experince with motorworks i bought a odssesy battery and charger from them and because the odssesy bat has flat teminals i allso ordered the small fittings to match the bikes still waiting 3 weeks now real bad service thay have the cash so thay cant be bothered:topic

I disagree – even more so because the order in question was an international order.
If a company list an email address and an option for contacting "sales" or "customer service"l, then I expect someone to respond within 24 hours.

Anything else isn´t "service", in my opinion.

Its just a small point, if you wrote to a company and put the letter in the snail mail post how long would you expect it to get a reply?
Just because you can send an e mail quickly, why would you expect them to deal with it any sooner than any other letter, I would have thought that two or three days is pretty damn good time frame to expect a reply and I really cant see what your problem is? If you need a response quicker pick up the phone and speak to somone

I must say that any dealings with Motorworks have been positive. Sometimes I ring for advice and they give it freely without trying to sell anything. I find them friendly and knolagable about what they are doing.JJH

Same here. Dealing with them since 2006..and always a positive result.

Seriously ????

You think I should expect the same level of response to an email response as I should if I sent them a letter ? Even after i've bought and paid for something ?

Fair enough if you don't understand what my problem is though, i'm not in the persuasion business.

It is only fair to say that they have sorted my issue out now regarding my last order. The correct items have been sent very quickly and some reimbursement as well... Many thanks Motobins! :clap
