Mudsling update

I do like MachineArt products, its a shame the designers are not employed by Harley Davidson or Victory, have a look at what they did to an early GS Hex head. If they launched a conversion kit you can bet is hundreds of pounds cheaper the a Touratech make over kit.

Bloody cable ties!!!

Like others I got fed ups with the rain up the back of my legs so I bought the frame infills. They seem to keep some of the wet and dirt off. I'm now thinking of adding a musdsling, the only problem I don't like the idea of a 15 grand bike looking like it's held together with cable ties.....looks shite. Why didn't BMW and Machine Art utilise the rear footrest hanger brackets, they are used to secure the adventure pannier brackets, I'm sure this wouldn't have been too difficult to achieve.........moan over for now.

I can't believe there is still no mudguard been manufactured yet for the LC. it is simply beyond my understanding. I am well annoyed $%^&*(

These guys need to take a leaf out of Hooton's book.:rob:D Well, maybe be a bit less mouthy!:augie:D[/QUOTE]

Funny!

after seeing whats available and even trying myself I think the mudsling will just have to be `worth waiting for`.

I`ve already got one................. (and Nuts hasn`t......)

Are you guys using the front mudsling fender extender too?
Do they make much difference?

Me again sorry.

I just had an idea. Why not pay a 3D CAD expert to design us a rear mudguard and then go to a 3D printing company and get the mudguard printed for us?

3D printing is here, is not science fiction and it might actually be cheaper than we thought.

Here is a website I've found, company based in London.

Produced very tongue in cheek (as I have a Mudsling on my GSA :) )

Well my order for the fender extender and the mudslinger turned up today. Of course no mudslinger :( (They say March backorder)
Anyway the fender extender is a great bit of kit. Thanks for the recommendations.

Ah....... the answer to the Crud Catcher, which is now surplus

Looks good

WAPPIN, I'm still moaning about cable ties............. buy a Honda? I rather ride a bike made out of cable ties and string.

Those Crud Catchers, really do look pants and spoil the natural lines of the bike:barf

I'll admit, they aren't the most attractive of products, but I'd rather have that, than a load of stone chips.:comfort:D
