Having made my own last time, I never really paid much attention to this thread before... so haven't read every post..

Quick question.. the way I use muffs, is to pop them on when the rain starts... with mine it was pretty quick to do... about the time it takes to push rain gloves into the sleeves of a rain-suit. (almost)

Being as I don't have the time I once did to make my own... do these pop on fairly quickly to a GSA?

Yes, they are easy to put on and take off in just a couple of minutes. It's all Velcro and elastic. I carry mine in the panniers ready for use when needed. Easy :thumb2

Are Bagster bibs any good?

from Bagster website (http://www.bagster.com/en/tabliers-et-manchons.php)

Always amazed at the winter protection French bike messengers use (scooters with roofs?!?).

I need to move around town and motorway with business clothes on and am getting sick of spray on trousers. Have waterproofs enduro jeans etc. but rush out of office; head for client meeting, then zoom back; the time it takes to kit up is a pain so I tend to just get wet.

A bib (shitebag?) seems like a great solution. Basically look ridiculous but less ridiculous than muddy suit :-)

So questions for you guys, do I go with one listed here or whith a bagster? Anyone have any French friends with experience of the R1200GS model?

Thanks all:-)

Use a tried and tested Turbano - you know it makes sense :rob

I have to admit I'm biased, but you only have to look at the bagster to see the difference. It's made of fur lined vinyl. Not a particularly durable material, heavy too. Probably not going to last many years (or mild offs) and if the picture above is anything to go by, it doesn't fit the bike either.:nenau

Happy to discuss your needs and to post all over the world.

Another option you might like to consider is a nifty bit of kit called the 'Takeaway' Easy to put on and store. I prefer it over the Gaucho as I tend to be on and off the bike quit a bit and this means you keep the warmth with you. Here's a link You need to scroll through the small pics to get the idea. It's as easy to put on as an apron. Under £50.00 too.

Question can the 117 Gaucho be used on a 1200, i know they are listed as seperate items but just wondered if anyone has tried.

Thanks

Sorry Not getting much time to get on here for long just now.

Yes, the 117 can be used on the 1200GS. Tucano have designed one to fit the 1200 GS 'the 120' exclusively, but unlike the 117 the 120 can't be swapped between the other Beemer boxer bikes.

I'll be looking for a willing volunteer soon, with a Water cooled 1200 to see what fits. Any one in the north wilts area?

Gauchos

Hi Val, It's that time of year again, so can you supply the Tucano120 for my new 1200 GSA. I've gone to the dark side now , they tell me it's more fun. :comfort
