Muffs, Gauchos and more 2010/11

...I have a GSA 09, will the muffs fit over the hand guards as I want to keep these on...

Just wondering the same thing before i order. I know they won't fit with the extended spoilers, but are they ok with the oem adventure guards?

Thanks :)

Val, will the muffs fit over Touratech handguards on a 800?

Cheers Rich

They should. Yes.

Val will the muffs fit an aging 91 Yamaha TDM 850 and do they have to be fitted sans handguards?

There are a pair of muffs that will fit the TDM. Can you send me a photo of the bars? [email protected] I'll have a look and get back to you with the best options.

Yes Gentlemen, the Muffs do indeed fit over the OE guards :thumb2

There is only one minor exception (as mentioned by Claw above). This is; if you have the high gray part, you will need to remove this. (It's easy, two screws). The black part stays on the bike.

Will they fit TT guards on a 1200GSA with the extenders removed? If so I'll take a pair.

I was glad of mine this morning :eek

Firstly, Many thanks to Val for an excellent service and great products. :thumb

I'll have a crack at fitting the gaucho's tomorrow and see if I can get some pictures posted if it seems to be right. I admit it does look like an MI5 intelligence test :augie .

Considering the fact that I have only fitted one Gaucho to a bike 'and then with help form a helpful person' Here go's.

The Gaucho should sit quite hi up the tank (very close to the filler cap on the 1200).
Now. with the G (can't be arsed to keep writing Gaucho) opened up and thrown over the tank with the fur side to the rider, you will see it is a 'v' shape. At the top of the 'V' you will see a strap/strap ends. this strap go's round the steering head. This strap sits flush on the tank. To achieve this you must fold the G under it's self so the shiny outer side is facing the tank. Now you need to adjust the strap to stop the G from sliding down onto your lap.

Next, Bend the alli bars in each leg so they form a semicircle this holds the leg in shape. Now use the straps on the inside of the lower legs to secure the G to the intake tubes (not tight) enough to hold things in place. There is also a stainless wire provided which goes under the engine and helps keep the bottom of the G from flapping.

Now inflate the air chambers which help keep it in place when riding. On the R117 Gaucho, In the top pocket you will find a neck strap which can also be used to hold it in place when riding. Don't worry about getting dragged down the road by your neck. The strap has a quick release system (the orange Velcro part) which will pull apart releasing the strap from one end.

Hope this helps.

For those interested I will have a gaucho for demonstration, plus muffs and Gaucho (If I have any in stock by then) at the Welland weekend in Malvern this weekend.
