Muffs & Gauchos

Oi, Steptoe, I don't want no stinking muffs or Grouchies, just send me a cheque or some cash.

Soon.

Matt Gibbs - it is you!

Sorry to hear about your Carpel problems. But does that mean you want to sell your muffs? If so, you have a buyer. I use my bike all year round you see and am a southern woose living in the frozen north......I can't send a PM because i am not allowed to.

Most probably why i can only afford a bottle of Blue Nun/Black Tower to wash down the prawn cocktail :D

Hi ya Neil,

Just read Mutleys report :bow Looks like you all had a blast.

Well pleased with my muffs, winter gloves have gone back into storage and on a recent trip around the sites of london in the freezing cold I had NO gloves on with the heated grips being switched off because I got sweaty mitts :D

Couldn't be arsed keep taking gloves off to take piccies

Brekkie still on me for the next Ace meet if you go :thumb

Mick, how is it going with the muffs, or have you given up yet?
I would encourage you to persevere. They do feel slightly awkward as you try to get used to them, but lets face it so did the indicator selection and cancellation routine. I have had mine on for quite some time, and while it took a few rides to get used to them, I managed to.
As to the water ingress, I have not had water come in to them at all. Without questioning in any way whatsoever your technical capabilities (I said that so you don't take offence at what I might say next, 'cos I wouldn't want you to :D ) keep shougling (cannot remember if their is 2 g's in shouggling) them about until you get a water free zone. I confess that I took some time with a pressure hose to make sure - from the top (looking down to the ground) and the front (of the bike) and just kept using zip ties. I have hardly used my heated grips at all this year, in comparison to previous years. But when you do use them with the muffs on, what a difference.
I hope you persevere. :beerjug:
for your support Rev, have not yet had time to refit them, will give it another go this weekend and see what happens... :thumb

So what does becoming a site sponsor entail?

Does it mean I get free and unending training on how to use the wretched thing? I still can'tpost properly - or find my way back to stuff.

How do you find out how to use everything? Is mere money the route to the fount of knowledge? :rob

Stil no reply on the mitts thing though - anyone know where I can some from - my hands are freezing already, even with the heaters on number 2.

575 miles yesterday. 220 miles today. About 350 tommorrow.......give me a break, I need some digit protection guys!

Steptoe,

I asked what it entailed - not what it allowed

How do I get in touch to buy some of these then? Have you got them in stock again - i can't work your site either.

i am thinking along the lines of throwing away my mobile phone. Throwing away my computer. keeping the bike, riding to Thailand and living off bananas, shellfish and wearing a grass skirt - then I won't need no bloody mitts!

I don't sell the muffs through the GS shop.

PM me - which is one of the benefits of being site sponser.

King Rat,
Sorry I've just seen your post. They are currently riding around North Wales doing their duty as Dave got in before you whilst I am back to big winter gloves
Regards
Matt
