Not sure this is in the right place but here goes . ..

As per many of you out there, i have more than one bike (GS x 2 plus a couple of others)
Its insurance time soon and im not sure if i should be going down the "multi bike policy" or insuring each individual bike.
I can see that multi bike pol's are a cheaper BUT if i decide to go down the route of insuring each bike individually say in another year, i would only be able to use the NCD accrued, on one bike.

What does everyone else think, and what do you do guys ??

Thanks in advance

I have multibike policy with aviva through carol nash

Same again, 4 bikes through Carole Nash, £350ish fully comp.

2002 Beta Alp 200

One wonders if Multi bike policies go tits up, we are going to be left with NCD for one of bikes and no NCD for the others.

I mean, its not like insurance companies are crafty or anything is it ?

Ebike,

DRZ 400
GS 1150
GSF 1250.

Fully Comp. £280 all in. 3 Years no claims.

ebike

I have changed 3 bikes since April. All changes are done online and there is NO admin charge.

If you fit you own panniers to your BMW then you are not insured through CN! that is what they told me, "panniers have to be installed by a recognised installer" I kid you not.

So I don't use them, and ask them this question next time you insure a bike, you have a friend coming over from the USA who wants to borrow one of your bikes, ask them for cover.

So I use someone else.:thumb

Ebike 3 bikes £155
and a free classic policy for my R69

I've for 6 bikes on a multi-bike classic policy through Footman James. Alwas been fine until now... Last year £240; this years renewal.... £520!!!!

How is that even possible? No claims or anything in the last year. Rang them and queried and all I got was that I was lucky, some have gone up much more!

Now looking for a new policy!

Looks like I will be getting a quote from Ebike next time.

i was with bikesure there idea of a multi bike police was 3 bikes sod em jumped to carel nash and got 4 bike insured for less than bikesure wanted for 3bikes

Honda varadero xl1000
yamaha wr250r
BMW paralever 91

Multibike insurance fully comp by Aquote through norwich union.

About £200.00 a year though they have an admin charge of about £25.00 every time i change the policy which seems to be about twice a year lol.

got a multi-bike policy from bennets

2006 f650 Dakar
2000 sv650s

£130 fully comp :thumb2

I ended up getting all the extras for £180, not bad as the old insurance company wanted that for fully comp with no extras

Hav'nt seen Peter James mentioned here, I changed from Carol Nash to Peter James this year.
Classic Multi bike policy, R100GSPD,
80/7,
K1200LT.
All agreed price.
With UK and euro brakedown, down from £189 to £143.

Only trouble was when the policy came it said no commuting, so phoned Peter James and Brendon said it was ok at my post code, but got them to send me a revised policy just incase.
