Music file. Help please.

I am trying to get a "Various artists" file onto my 550. I have made a folder on my SD card and stored several tracks. My computer is showing the file and the tracks are there. When I replace the card into the Zumo it does not show the "Various artists" file just the tracks listed separately. They are there and they play. Just a pain to find. I have no problems loading complete albums. Any help would be appreciated........F

you have to change the tags of the MP3's i think

select all the files on your pc click properties then click details tab

click then on the album title bit and change that to various artists.. load that to your MP3 folder on your Zumo and it should appear as an album of various artists.....

Thanks T I. Do I have to load it to the MP3 folder of the Zumo? I still don't understand why I haven't got the Various Artist folder that i created on the SD card displayed......F

i think the zumo reads the actual track Tags not the folders name

if you use a SD card you need to put your MP3's in a folder called MP3 or the folder in the Zumo... i think

The Zumo should be able to find the MP3 in the folder you have created. I have mine nicely organised in this way and the Zumo then reads them as albums. Check that the music is in MP3 format and not M4A or some other format. If they are in any other format other than MP3 the device will not recognise them. You can go to a site like CNET or Znet and download free software to convert the formats if required.

The tracks are in MP3 format and are their and play. Its just I can't find the "various Artists" folder on the SD card when I install it in the Zumo. I can only find them in browse, artist. Like I say its a pain if you just want the various......F

like i said edit the files track tabs so their album name is called various Artists
