Mustn't grumble

It could'nt be better....yesterday came from S.Uist ...after a morning on the loch... all round S & N Uist and Benbecula, ferry to Uig, grub at Rabs in Portree, then all evening magic riding...Skye, Kintail, Glenmoriston absolute topper...just don't rely on fuel later...had to go to the 24 hr one Fort William and then back to Spean Bridge. Just cracking. Hot again today.

Busy busy busy

Brilliant weather! Down side is new rear tyre required already, what the hell......
Great to see so many bikes around.:thumb

Judging by the number of bikes heading up the m74 today, it looks like Scotland will be full this weekend...

Lucky buggers!

Had a novel experience yesterday

Rode south through Glencoe with the sun on my back :)
Saw the forecast. Got a 1 night pass out. And headed north on Wednesday, stopping the night near Thurso in one of my favourite B&Bs. Can hardly believe I'm saying this, but it was almost too warm at times. Got over 700 miles in as I hit most of the best roads in Scotland.
How good is a run up through Glenshee, the Lecht, Nairn, A9 to Thurso, west through Tongue, Durness, down the A894 with a diversion to Lochinver for lunch, then on down through Ullapool, long way round Achnasheen, A87 to Invergarry, Spean Bridge, Fort Bill, sunny Glencoe, Tyndrum, Stirling and home.
Sorry I can't paste one of those route map things.
Loads of bikes out, Brits, Germans, Dutch. Mostly BeeEmms and mostly GS12s. Are we surprised?

40+ bikes on the DFDS ferry into Newcastle on Thursday. Mostly Dutch & Germans starting their holidays with a run around Scotland before heading to the TT or intent on some whisky sampling. All seemed to rave about how quiet Scotland is and how good for riding. Must remind self of this when next slogging along in the rain & cold for the 10 months or so when the tourists are not here.
