My brother bought an SA and now I'm tempted to the orange side...

The final bling going on before delivery tomorrow :bounce1

Will do - it's my first ever ktm after 12 years of being in GS world. A change is as good as anything as my Gran used to say :aidan

Hope you enjoy the move to the Orange side, I had a couple of GSAs followed by a 990A & 1190A before recently acquiring the 1290SA. No regrets here.

The first 100 miles completed today in company of it's older brother. Two points strike me - the suspension and the engine. The suspension is truly sublime over bumpy B & C roads - an absolute revelation. The engine is a powerhouse and the only parallel I can use it is with a Beemer - not a GS but my old S1000RR which had a fully Akra,PCV and one tooth less on the front - the hit of torque is spectacular.

Im a happy camper :thumb2

Once you can rev it it goes into another dimension.

Re suspension, I had an odd one today. I went steaming into a corner in sport sport and right in my line was a pot hole. I gave it the shit! and braced my self for the thump, bang that would have happened on my GSA. I barely felt it and the bike didn't even twitch. A few have said this before about the suspension that on many occasions it doesn't react like you would expect but when you get used to it, it really works well. Stiff when it needs to be but magically soaks up harsh bumps when they come along.

Any more miles covered today, Trev ?

Now at 280 miles and still on my first tank :beerjug:

Had another great spin today - the engine is positively nuclear lol. I saw the odd red light but the first service should soon sort that out. This week should see the Wings arrive as well as the. Clearwater lights.

Only negative is the horn - urgent upgrade required!
