Well I took the GSA out for another test ride yesterday, this time with the standard GS seat, which I found 10x better than the adventure. I just clicked with the bike and had a hoot riding it. The dealer then offered a nice juicy discount and I was unable to resist (although I did for 24hrs)
Hopefully pick her up next Saturday
It was neck and neck with the KTM, but at the end of the day I have a soft spot for the boxer engine which I think is one of the best road engines ever made. The KTM really lost out on three grounds: 1) Poor fuel injection; 2)Poor tank range; 3)Uncertain residuals. The Tiger and Ulysses lost it on the test ride.
It will also be nice to have a bike back in the garage. I've been running around exclusively on my 125cc Honda scoot, which is OK for the daily grind, but doesn't inspire much at the weekend![]()

Well nows never going to be the best time. I sold my last bike (private) in August and sat things out until there's a glut of bikes and empty dealers then go for a purchase. I certainly secured extra cash with the private sale in summer and saved cash on the purchase in Autumn.I,m just selling an 06 GS 1200 ......

Shod with Battlewings which I've not used before, so will be interesting to see how they compare with the Anakees.



Bike has now done run in mileage + gadgets plumbed in. Just needs the first service
