My two new GS's

The first one I bought at a very good price so could not refuse, even if the colour was not what I wanted. I tried to get a triple black, but my son suggested I be a bit different.

Seems as it is my 60th birthday on Saturday, I decided to treat myself and gave CT Motorcycle Services a call. After chatting to Chris, a deal was done. I dropped the bike off at the beginning of January, went through a few colours and what you can see is the stunning result. I can't believe I had white wheels (!) but you either love them or you hate them, I absolutely love them with the rest of the bike. Also, the seat is amazing and has blue stitching to match the bike.

As for my second bike, it was a present for Christmas from my son and I have never had so much fun building it! Although you can see which one is the bike I smile more at.

I have to agree.... the white wheels do set it off against the rest of the colour scheme... who'd have thought. A lego GS, whatever next. In my day, you didn't get the pre made parts it was just the standard blocks. Looks great though.

Congrats on the two new bikes. The colour scheme on main bike is not something I would have imagined but IMO it looks great and very individual, so why not? You enjoy it !!!

Hi all,

Yes, it is a standard BMW frame 2017 colours. As for oil on the wheels, I hope not as long as the drive shaft doesn't leak!

My main reason to sell my African Twin was oil on the bike from the chain and the wife didn't like the oil on her sponge. Plus water pump gone and electric switches seized - not good for Honda.

I am very happy now and want some nice weather to go out.

Years ago (in my younger days) I always wanted the red VFR Honda with white wheels but could never afford one. This probably makes up for it!

The paint scheme is a little bit "fussy" for my tastes, but looks good none the less.

White wheels? You will spend a lot of time cleaning, for sure - but the overall result may be worth it.

In case I missed it in the thread - can you say how much the bodywork cost?
