.....so i must get new ones. Now the ones that are on are Tourances and i'm very happy with them, but i was just wundrin if anyone has interesting opinions on the tyres that best suit GS's. I'd be particularly interested in the
"whatever you do, dont buy" sort of stuff.

ive tried a few and keep coming back to good old Tourances - the older type will give better mileage btw :thumb2

I just went and had a closer look. Their Anakees, not Tourances. Ah well.
Anybody know what Keary's charge for supplying and fitting or should i phone Crossons???

i'd rather support a local dealer but if the price differance is very big ya have to think of yourself too...

Id go the crossan route, Kearys charged €160 to change tyres purchased in store, that was a while ago and they may well have changed the charge structure since.
Get them shipped and fit them urself.
Happy biking dude

Do you go off road? - If not, you don't need off road tyres, apart from the rufty-tufty look. - I went from Tourance to Conti Road attack and have been very impressed.

Correct Information!

But as a special favour to you Dogfooddave2000, when you mention your name, they will charge you your much mentioned price.........

Crossans Newry

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Just back from the nice people in Newry with two new Metzeler Tourance fitted and balanced to loose rims, £168 for the pair and £170 in total fitted!! I'm not great at maths but I reckon thats £1 per tyre fitted!!

Now off to the Alps to treat these tyres with the contempt they deserve!"

So a pair of tyres are now down to €70 and €160 for fitting? = €230.

Rumor has it there is a MH reg GS in Cork that only used one wheel..........
