Nav V car mode

Hi
Does anyone have any idea why, whenever I plug in the Nav V it asks me if I want to switch to car mode? I have cleaned the contacts.

Have you recently updated the software?
My Nav V was fine then I updated it last week before I went away and it now brings the 'switch to car mode' screen every time.

Have you perhaps, switched (as I think is possible, I don't have my device to hand) the device to car mode and forgotten?

Hi. No, routes definitely planned in Basecamp in bike mode, and device set to bike mode. I thought it could be that but it isn't. Thanks.

Maybe Garmin have heard of the problems some have had with the motorcycle mode!

Dirty contacts is the usual cause for the device interpreting the bike cradle as a car mount. That and a less than 100% power feed.

If you've checked those, I (as I am with the bod and his failed satellite reception) at a loss.
