I understood that was a software fuse rather than a real fuse? Also, can't find the flippin fuses anyway. Anyone know where they are?did you check the fuse ...ringed in red ?

Once a knob.....................
Interested you say that. The guys in the garage where I've left the bike were pushing me to try it...their version! So the guy who I can communicate with (I don't speak French, but he's Italian) and I did a precedure that made me a little nervous. He disconnected the earth and put a jump wire between it and the positive terminal for about 2min.can you reset it ?
Ah bless.Once a knob.....................
Hello Mistercat - thanks for this tip. Not tried it! I'm guessing this will tell me what's alive or not!Late to the party so have not read it all.
I assume that you have tried to spin the starter over to start the bike by using Screwdriver or any piece of metal across terminals A & C in the photo.

I had similar on my 06 hexhead , but was accompanied by EWS on the KobmiWe had a similar fault on a friend's 1200. It was a broken wire in the loom around the headstock. Internal break so not obvious. Never got a code readout as I sorted at the road side.
This could be a red herring though![]()
Wishing you luck SirNo joy over here with last night's ideas.
I disconnected all the accessories - there's not so many! Cleared the faults but no change.
Unless I didn't check the coils properly, but it's hardly a difficult thing! Then I'm really stumped.
Being collected soon and going to BMW in Metz. Told they are ready to accept the bike and claim to promise a quick diagnosis. Not sure how they can say that. But of course I'm going thru are right!
Update later!

). I hope to find out soon!Hi Santa. I get your thinking completely, but my own thinking is only on just that - what has caused it to cut out. I see non starting as just a symptom. Asking with the alarm misbehaving.I get the feeling there is one issue, that has been expanded to cover everything
The initial fault is the bike cut out , then a subsequent fault that the bike wouldn't restart
The focus seems to have been on why the bike wont restart
The restarting issue, isnt the reason why the bike cut out
Its straight forward, suck, squeeze, bang, blow,
Go through those logically and you should find the root of the problem
Id be focusing on why a seeming healthy bike cuts out
.
