Hello all - I'm new to the forum & a GSer wannabe. I fancy an 80 or 100 but not sure which to go fer. Would appreciate views on the merits of each & what I can expect to be forking out for a good 'un.

Airheads :)

Good evening and Welcome to Tosserdom :thumb
You will no doubt get our Mr Tarka along soon to welcome you properly.
You will also get lots of differing advice about airheads.
Me being Totally biased and not a little mad  would recommend a 80g/s monolever. :rob
others :D will probally state a Paralever Airyhead. 100GS or 80GS.
No matter what you chose, you can be sure you are at the right place :thumb

80g/s is monolever[ far superior] :thumb :rob
80GS is paralever, damn fiddly but some say a better ride
It refers to the Driveshaft housing, the para is jointed, mono isn't

Ah... understood. I bid for an 80gs basic (paralever then?)on german ebay. looked great but it was too much dosh. Didn't make the reserve tho it reached getting fer £3.9K

Thanks - I'll have a decko. Pity about the one in the thread :( - it looks a belter!

Be nice if he left panniers on, being as it's before 1995 it should be tax free as well :)
I reckon £2K won't buy it tho' :(

I wonder if Manny Fagnet knows the owner, as he lives on guernsey :)
