Nero 6 question

Hi all knowing oracles.

I have a friend who has gone over to the dark side and bought a laptop running vista.

He has a copy of nero 6 but it doesn't seem to work on Vista and all the searches I have done pretty much say the same.

I have heard img burn is good but wondered if anyone had any thoughts or better recommendations.

I think the majority of what he wants to do will be to burn a cd from an mp3 file to a normal cd to play on any player as he used to do with nero on xp.

Does i tunes or similar allow this?

I've Nero 7 but I use iTunes to burn my audio CD's. Just have to create a playlist with the tracks you want to burn and as long as there's a blank CD in the drive there's a button in the bottom left "Burn CD".

I've told him to download itunes and we are going to give it a go over a beer this weekend.

He can also do it from Windows Media player; same process as with iTunes.
