HI Guys
I'm needing a little help here. I have a 99' 1100GS
my neutral light which always was a bit slow to react, it is now getting worse, and the bikes over due it's MOT, so will fail on this.I've had a look at the manual but I'm no better off, could somebody point me in the right direction.
I've checked the bulb and holder and all seems okay, the RID works fine but I'm unsure whether the neutral switch and gear indicator switch are seperate items or the same item, the manual is total unclear on this issue
so I can try and troubleshoot this a bit better I'm needing some basic info, sorry if I'm asking old questions but the search engine didn't bring up any answers
1. is the RID and neutral light on the same switch mechanism?
2. where does the wire for the switch come out so I can check continuity/function
3. if it turns out to be the switch (I hope not) how hard is this to replace from the manual it would suggest it's a total strip of the gearbox to get at it
but I've read on this forum that this doesn't need to be the case but it was unclear what varient of GS was being talked about
any help is appreciated
cheers
